Changing Boarding Station of your journey IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation)


1. In case the boarding station is changed within 24 hours of departure of train, no refund shall be permissible in normal circumstance; however, in exceptional circumstances like cancellation of train, non-attachment of coach, late running of train by more than three hours, normal refund rules shall be applicable.

2. In case a passenger has changed the boarding station, he/she will lose all the rights to board the train from the original boarding station. If found travelling without any proper authority to travel, passenger will have to pay fare with penalty between original boarding station to changed boarding station.

3. Boarding station change is not allowed if ticket is seized.

4. Boarding station change is not allowed for the PNRs with VIKALP option.

5. Online boarding station change is not allowed for I-Ticket.

6. Boarding station change is not allowed for current booking ticket.

7. If boarding station has been changed at the time of booking, then passengers can change boarding station one more time from “Booked Ticket History” section.

 

How to change boarding point

Change Boarding Point after ticket booking

1. Login by entering your User name and Password.

2. Go to MY ACCOUNT >My Transactions >Booked Ticket History.

3. Select the ticket for which you want to change the Boarding Station and select the Change Boarding Point button.

4. A pop up window will appears with the list of stations between the selected train route, choose your desired boarding point.

5. On selecting the station system will ask for confirmation, click “OK” to change the boarding point of your ticket.

6. Success alert message will appears if boarding station is changed successfully.

7. Corresponding message regarding updation of boarding point will sent on mobile number provided during booking.

 

Boarding point of e-ticket booked online can be changed:

1. Login by entering your User name and Password.

2. Provide your desired “From – To” station, “Date of Journey” and “Class” of travel. Further click on Find train button to get the train list.

3. Select the train from the train lists and click the Book Now button.

4. On the Passenger input page select the Change Boarding Station option.

5. A pop up window will appears with the list of stations between the selected train route, choose your desired boarding point.

6. After selecting the station updated Boarding station can be seen on the right side ticket window.

Registration of Train/ Coach on Full Tariff Rate(FTR) IRCTC


<p>TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR FULL TARIFF RATE(FTR) REGISTRATION</p>
<p><b>1. Pilot for WR:</b>Online booking of FTR is on pilot basis and currently booking is allowed for journey starting from stations of Western Railway only.</p>
<p><b>2. Booking Process:</b>FTR registration can be done either on IRCTC website- ftr.irctc.co.in or on UTS counter of journey commencing station.</p>
<p><b>3. Booking period:</b>FTR registration can be done maximum 6 months in advance and minimum 30 days prior to journey date.</p>
<p><b>4. Payment realization:</b></p>
    <p><b>Registration on IRCTC website: </b></p>
    <p>Party will provide the booking type, journey details of coaches, and route. After submission of the request, party will get a reference number and registration amount to be paid. Party has to pay the registration amount against provided reference number to get FTR number. Payment of registration amount must be received within 6 days (including FTR request submit day). After 6 days, FTR Reference Number will be flushed and party has to follow the above mentioned process again to book a FTR coach/train.</p>
    <p><b>Registrations on UTS counter: </b></p>
    <p>Party will go to CBS (Chief Booking Supervisor)/Station Master (SM) of journey commencing station and provide written request containing journey details for FTR booking. CBS will feed these details in FTR system. CBS will provide a system generated slip to the party. This slip will contain the reference number and registration amount payable by party. Party will go to UTS counter and will deposit the registration money against the reference number. After confirmation of payment, printed money receipt will be provided to party with a unique FTR number printed on it. Party will go to CBS with this FTR number. At CBS counter, party can request and get a printout of his request details by providing the FTR number.</p>
<p><b>5. Refund process:</b>In case of cancellation, either by party or by railway, refund will be processed as per existing manual process through Chief Commercial Manager (PM).</p>
<p><b>6. Permissible number of coaches:</b></p>
    <p><b>Coach Booking: </b>Party can book maximum 10 numbers of coaches on FTR in a train in one tour programme.</p>
    <p><b>Train Booking: </b>Party can book maximum 24 coaches in FTR train including 2 SLR. 2 SLR coaches are mandatory.</p>
<p><b>7. Registration Amount:</b></p>
    <p><b>Coach Booking:</b></p>
    <p>Registration amount for booking of a coach up to 7 days of tour journey period is Rs.50,000/- per coach. Beyond 7 days of tour journey period, additional Rs.10,000/- per day/per coach will be payable and added in registration amount.</p>
    <p><b>Train Booking: </b></p>
    <p>Registration amount for booking of a train is amount for minimum of 18 coaches (including minimum two SLR coaches) and up to 7 days of tour journey period is Rs.900,000/-. Beyond 18 passenger coaches, additional Rs.50,000/- per coach will be added in the registration amount. For tour period beyond 7 days, additional Rs.10,000/- per day per coach will be added in registration amount.Even for booking of a train with less than 18 coaches, registration amount for 18 coaches as minimum will be charged.</p>
   
    <p>The above amount may change in case of any revision by Ministry of Railways from time to time.</p>
<p><b>8. Registration of coaches/trains :</b></p>
    <p>does not guarantee the supply of coaches/trains. This will be subject to the operational feasibility and availability of coaches.

Indian Railway Refund Rules


Refund you can get across the counter within the prescribed time limits.:
I.Prescribed time limits for refund
    1.Confirmed reserved tickets: upto 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train irrespective of the distance. No refund will be granted after  that.
    2.RAC/ waiting list/ partially confirmed Ticket: upto half an hour before the scheduled departure of the train irrespective of the distance. No refund will be granted after that.
   3.Train departure between 21.00 hours and 6.00 hours (actual departure): you can get get a refund within two hours of opening of the Reservation Office, in case no current counters are available at the originating station.
II. Refund fare under circumstances like Bandh or agitations or floods etc... :
     1.Passenger could not reach the reservation counter or station or current counter for cancellation of tickets in this case a TDR(Ticket Deposit Receipt)shall be issued to the passenger and the passenger may apply for refund of fare within ten days from the day of commencement of journey to The Chief Commercial Manager (Refund) of the railway administration under whose jurisdiction the TDR issuing station comes, enclosing the original TDR.
    2.The TDR shall be issued only upto 3 Days after the scheduled departure of the train.
III. I am unable to approach the concerned authorites :
    1.In exceptional circumstances you may obtain a TDR from the nearest major station within 3 days from the day of scheduled travel to The Chief Commercial Manager(Refunds) of the Zonal Railway to which the ticket deposit receipt issuing station belongs. The application must be submitted within 10 days from the date of your journey. the refund officer will examine the case on maerit and, if decided, refund will be sent to you by a station pay order or money order or crossed cheque.
Will the entire amount be fefunded or will lose some money?
    The fare you paid for your ticket will be refunded after deducting cancellation charges in case of confirmed tiket and clerkage Charges in case of RAC/ WL/ Unreserved Tickets, if the tickets is surrend within the prescribed time limit as per fefund rules.
Cancellation Charges :the amount deducted is based on the time of cancellation and the status of your ticket.
1. If morethan 48 hours advance of the scheduled departure of the train for confirmed tickets.

Rs. 240/- First AC/ Executive Class
Rs. 200/- 2Tier AC/ 1st Class
Rs. 180/- 3Tier AC/ AC chair car, 3AC Economy
Rs. 120/- Sleeper
Rs. 60/- Second Class
2.Less than 48 hours and upto 12 hours for confirmed tickets.before the scheduled depatrure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 25% of the total fare paid by you subject to minimum flat cancellation charges.
3.Less than 12 hours and upto 4 hours for confirmed tickets.before the scheduled depatrure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 50% of the total fare paid by you subject to minimum flat cancellation charges for each class.
4.RAC/ Waitlisted tickets.Ticket is presented for cancellation upto half an hour before the scheduled departure of the train irrepective of distance, full refund of fare will be given, after deducting the clerkage charges per passenger.
